What would life be like in a cage?
This website is intended to provide a daily record of the current state of cage keeping in egg-laying poultry farms in Japan.
The videos and records presented here were filmed and recorded inside the same poultry farm.
The rearing methods and environment are the same as the conditions of cage rearing that is still commonly practiced today.
This site records and discloses the daily events happening inside a poultry farm, one day at a time, in chronological order. The site does not capture only special days or unusual scenes, but rather leaves the “normal state of affairs” of each day as it is. The video images and short written recordings are only the facts as seen on that day.
This poultry farm is just one example, but it faces the common challenges of cage keeping.
