Animal sacrifices for furs purchased by the Japanese decreased by 97,470

82.8% of people will not buy fur in the future: Result of awareness survey on fur

Wacoal, a leading manufacturer of innerwear, will be fur & fur-wool free. Wacoal had already abolished the use of fur, but just one sweater using raccoon wool was being sold, which we asked to be abolished. Wacoal began consideration immediately, including traceability, and as a result promised that from the next season onwards, it will not use wild animal hair (including fur) and will not use non-traceable materials. Fur garment imports down 43% from last year. Down 89% from when the campaign began!

The 2000s were really terrible.  Everyone had animal fur around their necks.  In 2006, fur garment imports peaked and as many as 21,331,530 fur items were imported.  This means in one year, 20 million people purchased fur garments. IRELAND, 3 JULY 2019 – Ireland is set to become the 15th country in the European union to ban fur farming after the country’s cabinet approved to phase-out fur farming. The bill is expected to be introduced into the Dáil, the Irish parliament, in September.
