Chickens
At our current location, we took in six rescued former laying hens of the Julia breed from battery cages. They are the chickens who are exploited the most and end up laying the most eggs. Five passed away, and one is living well. Another five arrived in the summer of 2025. In addition, we have a female Onagadori chicken who came from somewhere, and a male White Plymouth Rock.
Pigs
In 2024, we rescued eight pigs that had been left behind at a pig farm on the verge of closing. Six were taken in by the Animal Rights Center, and two were placed with adoptive families. Due to transport, one of the six and one of the two passed away. The remaining five are enjoying a beautiful world for the first time.

In caring for the pigs, we learned about facilities and husbandry management know-how from Honey’s Sanctuary. Even while busy, they kindly—and firmly—taught us many things. While powerfully rescuing dogs and cats, Dosanko to Neko, BeSail_Animal, NPO SPA, Maki Kiriyama, and everyone at Animal Rights Center volunteering their pro bono support in architecture, waterproofing, and expertise also did not give up on the pigs and welcomed us into the rescue team.
