Three Stores Pledge Forever Cage-Free Future

In response to inquiries from the Animal Rights Center Japan, three stores-“mojokado co.,ltd.” in Minamata City, Kumamoto Pref., “Organic Foods & Goods Shop poka poka” in Koshi City, Kumamoto Pref. and “Rice, natural food plus cafe Neko.” in Kurayoshi City, Totori Pref. -have pledged that all the eggs they currently handle are cage-free and have committed to never carrying cage eggs.

Mojokado provides gift boxes full of organic vegetables made by the contracted farmers in Kumamoto Prefecture,  representing its concept “organic from Minamata, organic as it’s Minamata” via an online store to nationwide.

[Natural food and goods shop poka poka]

This store handles pesticide-free and chemical fertilizer-free vegetables, as well as additive-free seasoning and health-conscious livingware. In the shop of poka poka, wooden aroma made from Aso’s oguni-sugi (cedar in Aso, Kumamoto Pref.) wafts through the air.

[Rice, natural food plus cafe Neko.]

Noko. is a store that sells mainly safe and delicious rice grown by the owner’s brother. It also handles natural foodstuffs and living goods. Visitors can enjoy lunch at the cafe annexed to the shop.

The Animal Rights Center Japan welcomes and support the decision of these stores to move away from cage eggs and to make this commitment public.
